The Starlux Hotel, a Morey's Resort, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Assistant Operations Manager.

Summary:
A successful Assistant Hotel Operations Manager will aid the Operations Manager in providing administrative and operational support, as well as supervising the responsibilities of an extensive and diverse workforce to ensure the smooth and profitable operationsof our business.
Assistant Hotel Operations Managers will report directly to the Property's Operations Manager and at times the Director of Morey Resorts.
Assistant Managers are to be involved in most aspects of hotel operations.
You will be a key person of reference for all employees, guests and external vendors.
The Assistant Manager must be able to guide employees in a variety of departments to work as a well-functioning team.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader able to set appropriate examples of service and foster a climate of cooperation in the workplace.
Assistant Manager goals are to support the Operations Manager in improving workplace efficiency, supervising employees during day-to-day tasks and providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
oMonitor employee performance and communicate clear objectives and standards of operations.
oProfessionally interact and communicate with guests to ensure a quality experience.
oOperate the front desk and provide service to guests as they check in/out and make reservations.
oAddress shortcomings and identify solutions to problems and resolve them.
oWork closely with the Operations Manager and assist in interviewing and hiring new employees for available positions and process the required paperwork.
oAssist with employee scheduling in various departments.
oInspect facilities regularly and enforce company standards associated with cleanliness,safety and customer service.
Requirements:
oHigh school diploma or equivalent.
oPrior experience in customer service in the hospitality or entertainment industries.
oUnderstanding of hotel management best practices and relevant laws/guidelines.
oWorking knowledge of MS Office and our property management system (RDP).
oExcellent customer service and communication skills.
oDemonstrated aptitude in problem solving, diffusing conflicts and remaining calm under pressure.
oBe reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
oStrong leadership and organizational skills and a great attention to detail.
oBe available on-call during peak-season operations and/or have suitable management coverage.
During Peak Season:
the availability to work 50
hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
This position is a full-time, benefitted position based in our Wildwood, NJ hotel.
Individuals must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays and weekends.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
